Mortar & Grout

Our turnkey Maxi-Mix® Silo System is the innovative, contemporary, cleanest, easiest and most cost-effective way of mixing and delivering our bulk mortars and grouts.

You can have the silo dispense the preblended mortar or grout into your own mixer positioned underneath, then add water or connect the silo to power and a water source, and the built-in auger will do it all for you at the single press of a button.

How can we assure you of consistent quality, from batch to batch and colour to colour?

  • Your mix is 100% preblended at our plant, using our state-of-the-art, computer-controlled batching system.

  • We accurately and automatically weigh all cementitious product and proportion it with dried sand, conforming to CSA A179-94 and ASTM C270 standards.

  • Standard precoloured mortars are available, or we can customize to match specific brick. How? By adding iron oxide pigment in specific – and repeatable – ratios or percentages that ensure consistency. No more forgotten formulas, guesswork, manual colouring or mismatched lots on your job site.

Masonry/Sand

Our Type N and Type S mortars and sands conform to ASTM C270 and CSA A179 standards.

Use Type N mortar for:

  • Brick

  • Architectural block

  • Stone

  • Non-load-bearing masonry

Use Type S mortar for:

  • Load-bearing reinforced block

  • Non-load-bearing block

  • Brick

  • Architectural block

Portland Lime

Our Type N and Type S mortars & sands conform to ASTM C 270 & CSA A179 standards.

Use Type N Portland Lime for:

  • Brick

  • Architectural block

  • Stone

  • Non-load-bearing masonry

Use Type S Portland Lime for:

  • Load-bearing reinforced block

  • Non-load-bearing block

  • Brick

  • Architectural block

  • Stone exteriors

Grout

Premixed, computer-blended grouts conform to ASTM C476 and CSA A179 standards.

  • Choose Fine or Coarse, in standard colours only.

  • All grouts are used as masonry block core fill.

Both fine and coarse grouts are available in these formats:

  • 12.5 MPa or 1450 psi

  • 15 MPa or 2175 psi

  • 20 MPa or 3000 psi

  • 25 MPa or 3625 psi

  • 30 MPa or 4350 psi
